What’s causing the Aussie Drought? Why Do Denmark TV care? Why did they ask Mad Mumzie and the Mackay Mayor?

A random Facebook message changed everything, was it legit?  Research and a chat with a TV Director in Denmark was the beginning of an epic 2 day adventure…

They followed me with a video camera for 2 days. Starting with me interviewing the Mackay Mayor for my Beers With a Miner podcast in his office. No pressure! Greg was so passionate about our area and was open and welcoming to our foreign guests. Strange going to Mackay Council Headquarters with a camera crew and saying “Im here to see the Mayor.”

DENMARK TV PROGRAMME HORISONT After 2 days here in Mackay and 3 in Broken Hill, Jakob and Das from Denmark created 22 minutes for their tv show. This is very powerful footage, with a farmer sharing how desperate they are for rain, our Prime Minister taking coal into parliament, the protesters, and then there is Mad Mumzie showing them Hay Point and a family BBQ. See the programme here. We are in subtitles, and I’m not sure what they are saying about us, but I believe it seems like a good balance. The Mackay Mayor Greg Williamson did us proud too.
