Hi Mad Mumzie!
As a young female currently working as a travel agent I am motivated to becoming a dump truck operator in the Hunter Valley. I am so fortunate to have come across your website because it’s the only resource that has inspired me and even encouraged me to be confident in my decision to venture into a new industry. My fiancé, mum AND dad are in the industry in various roles and I feel that it’s the right move for both myself and my fiancé to have better work/life balances, because at the moment we are like ships passing in the night. Even now, as I write this on a beautiful sunny Sunday afternoon, he is sleeping for night shift and I have to be like a ninja around the house careful not to disturb him.
I have only just begun listening to podcast #15 but am excited to listen to all of them!
You have absolutely made my day and I cannot wait to see what the future holds for me.
P.S – I have my first assessment day on Wednesday so fingers crossed!

So happy to hear you are enjoying the podcast! Always makes my day to hear that 🙂 If you head to mining.teachable.com you will see a whole heap of info there too. Especially the free Pounce! On your mining career course. Having family in the industry will help you with what to expec tin interviews etc but that is also covered in the course. Mostly Qld based, but of course it is still mining and just the names of inductions etc are different down in the Hunter. Good luck and keep me posted.
